A better brief. A clearer quotation.

Send the part, finish and order requirements together. This checklist helps your team prepare a complete request for contract coating or a made-to-order project.

What to send with your enquiry

Part and drawing
Product name, drawing number and revision, dimensions, substrate grade and clear photographs.
Finish and operating conditions
Coated faces, masking, colour, texture, temperature, chemicals and any specified tests.
Quantity and delivery
Sample quantity, order quantity, repeat demand, requested date and destination.
Approval and responsibilities
Acceptance criteria, approver, incoming-part condition, packaging and sourcing responsibilities.

Compare the same scope.

Ask suppliers to separate sample work, production, inspection, packing and shipment costs. Compare the same revision and quantity. Mark unknown requirements as ‘to be agreed’ instead of inventing values.
