Project, part number, drawing revision, sample ID, quantity, date and reviewer.
Inspect
Appearance reference, masking boundaries, critical dimensions, fit and agreed test results.
Resolve
Deviations, pending tests, corrective action and whether a new sample is required.
Approve
Approved, conditionally approved or not approved; record the approver and the specification revision.
Appearance is one part of approval.
A visual approval does not establish durability, food-contact suitability or regulatory compliance. Keep performance tests and material documentation separate, and agree the inspection records for production batches.
Questions before you start
Can I approve a coating from photographs alone?
Photos help discussion but may not reliably show colour, texture, fit or performance. Agree which checks require a physical sample, measurements or test evidence.
Should every project use the same tests?
No. Select tests, methods and acceptance limits for the actual product and intended use. Record missing results as pending, not passed.
Share your part, quantity and destination.
Check the material grade and required evidence before confirming an order.
